Hubert Knirsch: It is very important for politicians to unite and reach a consensus on what is needed to be done to reflect the Charles Michel plan in the law

According to German Ambassador Hubert Knirsch, it is very important for politicians to unite and reach a consensus on what is needed to be done to reflect the Charles Michel plan in the law.

"I had a good meeting with Lelo members and partners. We discussed many issues related to the implementation of the April 19 agreement, difficult tasks. I wish the Lelo faction, the Georgian Dream faction and the Citizens to resolve these difficult issues. It is now very important for politicians to unite and reach a consensus on what is needed to be done to reflect the Charles Michel plan in the law. This is the task of the Parliament of Georgia and I believe that they will be able to do this if they approach the issue in a spirit of good cooperation," the ambassador told journalists after meeting with representatives of the Lelo - Partnership for Georgia faction.

The ambassador refrained from commenting on the differences of opinion regarding the amnesty bill, noting that he did not want to comment on individual laws.

"I really do not want to comment on specific laws and proposals on the agenda. We know what is in Michel's plan, we know what is in the April 19 agreement. Now it is up to the Georgian parties and not the international friends and partners to find the right way to reflect this agreement in the law," he said.
