Elene Khoshtaria: We, the opposition, have learned a lesson that no matter how big you are, not everything can belong to one force, we have learned a lesson that power is in diversity

According to Elene Khoshtaria, presented by the United National Movement and part of the opposition as a candidate for the chairmanship of the Tbilisi City Council, multi-party candidates will be nominated to the City Council.

As Khoshtaria explained, despite her party interest, she will promote diversity in the City Council.

"Apart from the fact that we have agreed that the mayor and the city council will be of different parties, the initiative of the United National Movement to give way Tbilisi majoritarians to representatives of other parties, where we will have common candidates, multi-party candidates, is very important. Despite my party interest, I will be very happy to help the representatives of different parties in different constituencies gain the trust of the people and this diversity to be reflected in the City Council. We have learned a lesson that power is in diversity, we have also learned a lesson that narrow party interests must be put aside for a while and we must be capable to fight together. Today is a time for change, today is a time for victory", - Khoshtaria said.
