ENKA terminates contract with Georgia, stops construction of Namakhvani Cascade HEPP

ENKA terminates a contract with the Government of Georgia, - according to bpn.ge, the relevant information is mentioned in the statement published by ENKA ŞNŞAAT - the parent company of Enka Renewables - on the Istanbul stock exchange.

"ENKA Renewables Ltd. has notified Georgia to terminate the construction contract with the state of Georgia on the development, construction, ownership and operation of the Namakhvani Cascade HEPP project," reads the statement.

The company cites breach of the contract and long-term force majeure as the reason for the termination of the contract.

"We declare that the decision is fully in line with the principles set forth in the Communiqué on Material Events Disclosure and we personally take responsibility for the disclosure of this information," the statement said.
