Lawyer says up to 10 people were dragging Mikheil Saakashvili on the ground and forcibly placed him in the ward

According to the lawyer Shota Tutberidze, prison director Zurab Modebadze was personally involved in the transfer of the former president of Georgia from the 12th institution.

As Tutberidze told reporters at the Gldani 18th facility, Saakashvili voluntarily followed the facility staff when he was deceived by being told that he would be transferred to a civil clinic.

According to him, Saakashvili found out the truth after being taken to Gldani prison.

"The third president of Georgia was forcibly dragged out of a car by about 10 officers of special forces or penitentiary service amid organized noise made by prisoners. These prisoners were informed in advance by the accomplices of those currently in power that Mikheil Saakashvili would be transferred there. They started a moral, psychological attack on Mikheil Saakashvili, who will have no influence on either the third president or his human rights activists. It is just a shame and a very good indicator of how the Georgian state has degraded. Up to 10 people were dragging Mikheil Saakashvili on the ground and forcibly placed him in the ward. There was a physical confrontation against and by Mikheil Saakashvili. There is not a single person he has hit with his hand. He naturally has no longer clothes. After being placed in the ward, two law enforcement officials tried to force him to take medical tests. They approached him with syringes, which he naturally refused, and after they tried to take tie him up, he hit an analyzer that has not broken and still works today. Just some plastic detail was broken. This fact shows that the current government has an illusory sense of power and they are playing with fire," Tutberidze said.
