In connection with the day of mourning, the flags of Georgia are flying at half mast at the buildings of state agencies.
In honor of the crew members, rescuers and doctors, who died as a result of the crash of the border police helicopter of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gudauri, flags have been lowered at the buildings of the Parliament of Georgia, Governmental Administration, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Health.
According to the Government's decree signed by Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, July 30 has been declared a day of mourning in Georgia.
The helicopter belonging to the Border Policem, which was involved in the rescue operation, lost control and crashed in the vicinity of Gudauri yesterday. All eight people on board of the helicopter died.
