Irakli Kadagishvili: The MEPs who appeal to the President of Georgia with a request to pardon Nika Gvaramia should admit his crimes

According to Irakli Kadagishvili, the member of the majority, those European parliamentarians who appeal to the President of Georgia with a request to pardon Nika Gvaramia should admit his crimes.

According to him, MEPs do not depolarize Georgia, but seem to be instigators of polarization.

"The European Commissioner has an important visit to Georgia and there will be a discussion of the achievements and challenges that we have on the way to get closer to the European Union, but in this context we should mention the draft resolution prepared for the European Parliament, which, as always, apart from the objective part, includes political messages, which can be only evaluated as the joint action of internal political struggle and external political interested actors. My colleague stated that it is important to release Nika Gvaramia, etc. Do those MEPs, whose names I won't start listing now, admit that Nika Gvaramia and his political team seized and robbed Rustavi 2, do they admit that the 7 million, which was already returned to the rightful owner by the court, was stolen from Rustavi 2? Do they admit all this?! Or do they directly ignore Georgian law, courts, and public opinion and stubbornly demand only the release of the most important persons for their political project. If they believe that these crimes were committed, they should make an appropriate assessment and then ask the President to pardon this person," said Kadagishvili.
