According to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, those persons who may pose a threat to the country's security are refused entry to Georgia and are turned away from the country's borders.

The Deputy Minister explained the measures implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs when crossing the border.

"We periodically publish statistics regarding the entry of Russian citizens and citizens of all other countries. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has repeatedly made a statement that we use all the legal levers that exist. We control the border, in particular, check incoming persons, document checks are carried out in order to ensure that they have valid travel documents. In addition, if they have cases of crossing the occupied territories, they are naturally not allowed to enter and appropriate legal measures are taken. We are also working with various agencies to ensure that those persons who may pose a threat to the country's security, are refused entry and are turned away from the country's border. This is the procedure that the Ministry of Internal Affairs carries out on a permanent basis," said Aleksandre Darakhvelidze.
