We have had two-digit economic growth for two years, which impacts the employment rate as well, - said the Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili.
According to him, according to the preliminary assessment of economic growth of December, the economy grew by 11% in December, while the average economic growth rate of 12 months is 10.1%.
"It is worth noting that the turnover of enterprises paying VAT increased by more than 18% in December, which naturally impacted tax revenues as well. This year, in January, we have had a 30% increase in tax revenues. For the second year, Georgia has had double-digit economic growth. Last year, significant contributors were the significant increase in exports, which increased by more than 30%, as well as the recovery of tourism, which exceeded the figure of 2019 by approximately 7-8%. Naturally, the mentioned indicators impact the employment results as well," said Lasha Khutsishvili.
