Director General of VivaMedi clinic Nino Nadiradze responded to the statement of the Special Penitentiary Service, according to which, during the visit to Mikheil Saakashvili, one of the Polish doctors had an "inexplicable incident", namely, the Polish doctor wrapped the sample taken from convict Mikheil Saakashvili in paper and tried to hide it in shoes.
"In compliance with the protocol, the material was taken (by the Poles themselves in the presence of " VivaMedi doctors) and sealed, one container was taken by Polish doctors, the other was left in the clinic, which we will send for examination. The material brought out with socks and shoes was taken without witnesses). I can't tell you for what purposes they wanted it", Nadiradze writes on Facebook, explaining in the comment: "He said he kept everything in his socks, he doesn't like pockets, that's what he said".
The Special Penitentiary Service released a statement and footage regarding the visit of Polish doctors to the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili.
According to the statement, during the visit, there was an "inexplicable incident" from one of the Polish doctors, namely, the Polish doctor wrapped the sample taken from convict Mikheil Saakashvili in paper and tried to sneak it out with his shoe.
At the same time, the agency explains that the Service gave them the right to take out the sample taken in an official manner, therefore, the said action "adds even more ambiguity to the doctor's behavior inconsistent with medical ethical and legal norms".
