Zurab Chkhaidze: This fact is inexplicable, no one resisted the Polish doctor and no one forbade him from taking these samples in full compliance with the law

This fact is inexplicable, no one resisted these people and no one forbade him from taking these samples in full compliance with the law - as soon as it was officially requested, we officially handed over these samples in accordance with the full protocol, - the clinical director of VivaMedi clinic, Zurab Chkhaidze, said.

According to him, the Polish doctor wrote in the explanation how he illegally took a biological sample of Mikheil Saakashvili and where he kept this sample.

"Polish colleagues came to the clinic around three o'clock, I met them, and then they visited the patient. All this time, I actually was in contact with them. However, I was not present at the moment when they were directly talking to the patient and they were examining the patient. I must mention that they were very collegial and communicative. They saw all the examinations, they didn't ask for any additional examinations.

I was with these people all day until late in the evening. Several times they conducted consultations and then, as I heard, they took biological samples, but taking biological samples has its own rules. When we learned this, we explained to these people that for this they needed consent of the penitentiary institution, the patient and the clinic. After that, officially, when the permission was given by the penitentiary, in the presence of the representatives of our clinic, these samples were taken, put in an envelope, sealed in two copies, we kept one copy and gave the other copy to them.

This fact is inexplicable, no one resisted these people and no one forbade them to take these samples in full compliance with the law. As soon as it was officially requested, we officially handed over these samples in full compliance with the protocol.

This person wrote an explanation about how he illegally took the biological sample and where he kept the sample. He wrote that he took this sample, bud did not put it in his pocket, as he has a habit of keeping everything in his shoes. Everyone has their own habits. Indeed, they are well-known representatives of their field in their country, and this incident is very regretful for me", said Chkhaidze.
