Prime Minister leaves for disaster zone in Shovi

Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili has left for the disaster zone in Shovi, Racha region.

Before that, the head of the government held a meeting in the emergency headquarters for liquidation of the Shovi disaster in the Oni municipality's town hall.

The Prime Minister received information from the members of the headquarters about the ongoing rescue work and the needs of the citizens.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Otar Shamugia, State Representative in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region Papuna Margvelidze.

For information, a landslide in Shovi has killed 6 people. 210 people have been evacuated from the disaster area.
