Davit Usupashvili: Charles Michel's statement shows that everyone agreed that Georgia's place is in the European Union, the only one who opposes it is the delusional Georgian Dream

Charles Michel's statement shows that everyone has agreed that Georgia's place is in the European Union, the only one who opposes it is the delusional Georgian Dream, stated Lelo MP Davit Usupashvili.

As he noted, Georgia had a unique chance, however, the foolish policy of Georgian Dream seriously hindered Georgia's progress and it is no longer with Moldova and Ukraine.

"The last statement of the great friend of Georgia, Charles Michel, once again shows that everyone in the democratic world is in agreement - Georgia's place is in the European Union, the only one who doubts it, opposes it, is the delusional Georgian Dream. When Georgia had this unique chance, their foolish policy seriously hindered Georgia's progress, and we are no longer among the first-line candidates along with Ukraine and Moldova, but Europe, the European states, the European Union tell us unequivocally that they are ready to see Georgia in this great family of security, freedom, and prosperity. Georgian Dream is afraid of this, because it is afraid of freedom, free citizens, Europe is based on free citizens, not on leaders or messiahs. Therefore, we should continue to move towards Europe and try to be ready for the time when we can take concrete steps, and it will definitely happen," said Usupashvili.

According to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, the European Union should be ready for expansion by 2030.

"Last June, we granted candidate status (for EU membership) to Ukraine and Moldova. The same status awaits Georgia when it takes the necessary steps. So now expansion is no longer a dream. It's time to move forward," said Michel.
