Salome Zurabishvili to start meetings with European leaders in support of granting EU candidate status to Georgia

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili will leave for Germany on August 31. According to the information released by the presidential administration, Salome Zurabishvili will hold a meeting with the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in Berlin.

"It is with this visit that the President of Georgia begins meetings with European leaders in support of granting Georgia the status of a candidate country for EU membership," the administration of the President said.

For information, the government administration released a statement on the issue of President Salome Zurabishvili's visit abroad, where it is stated that Salome Zurabishvili was refused a visit to Germany as well as to 9 other countries.
