MIA has started an investigation into the assault on Irakli Edzgeradze under the charge of group violence, while Nika Melia, Bacho Dolidze and Zviad Kuprava are being detained administratively

The members of the National Movement Nika Melia, Bacho Dolidze and Zviad Kuprava are arrested for the fact of obstructing the policemen in the performance of their duties and verbally and physically insulting them.

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs told IPN, the incident is being investigated under the Code of Administrative Offenses.

As for the assault on the members of the National ­Movement, the investigation is under the charge of group violence.

"Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs promptly arrived on the scene after receiving the notification about the confrontation in Gldani. The investigation into the incident was started under the first prima part of Article 126 of the Criminal Code, which refers to group violence. Relevant investigative measures are being taken in connection with the fact.

The people on the spot resisted the policemen who arrived at the place, they prevented the policemen from performing their duty and verbally and physically insulted them. At that time, the police arrested 3 persons in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses," the Ministry of Internal Affairs told IPN.
