Beka Odisharia: If Bidzina Ivanishvili intends to enter active public life, I don't see anything wrong with it - it would naturally be good if a person with such experience enters the civil sector

If Bidzina Ivanishvili intends to enter active public life, I don't see anything wrong with it - it would naturally be good if a person with such experience enters the civil sector, said Beka Odisharia, a member of Georgian Dream.

With this, he answered the journalist's question regarding the founder of Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, in particular, how can the activation of the organization "Citizen," founded by him, be explained.

"By the way, I had information about this organization, although currently only Bidzina Ivanishvili and those people who are in this public registry know about Bidzina Ivanishvili's plans. If Bidzina Ivanishvili intends to enter active public life, I don't see anything wrong with it - it would naturally be good if a person with such experience enters the civil sector. I would advise you to form your opinion, sometimes you say that he is a shadow ruler and if a person wants to move to the civil sector, how can you reprimand him? Preventing the person, who invested 3 billion in the form of charity in our country, to even exist in this country in any way, I think it is unfair. I only welcome it if he appears in the civic space and in the society at large," Odisharia said.

According to TV Pirveli, the public register of the Ministry of Justice on September 18, 2023, approved the request of Bidzina Ivanishvili. The charter of the "Citizen" organization, which Bidzina Ivanishvili founded in 2014 after leaving the post of Prime Minister, was changed. According to reports in the media, in the charter approved on September 18, we read that "Citizen", whose chairman is Bidzina Ivanishvili, plans to establish partnership relations with state institutions, business circles, educational centers, religious and public organizations, and representatives of public and civil organizations.
