Schmitz Cargobull, a prominent trailer manufacturer in Europe, has successfully entered the Caucasus market in Georgia.

The German company, Schmitz Cargobull AG, has officially opened its subsidiary near the Customs Clearance Economic Zone (Gezi) of Tbilisi. This strategic move enables the company to provide swift and diverse services to local customers.

Schmitz Cargobull ensures its products adhere to the highest industrial standards. With the establishment of Schmitz Cargobull Georgia LLC, the European market leader is now poised to efficiently cater to the needs of transport companies in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, operating at full capacity.

Company representatives emphasize the significance of entering the Georgian and Caucasus market, citing it as one of the fastest-growing markets in the transport sector. They anticipate a substantial increase in cargo volume in the medium and long term. Boris Billich, a Board member of Schmitz Cargobull AG, views the Georgian office as a strategic decision, positioning Georgia as a key hub for activities in the Caucasus region.

Dimitri Kajaia, the Regional Sales Manager of Schmitz Cargobull Georgia LLC, notes that 131 units of Schmitz Cargobull trailers have already been sold in the Caucasus region, with a significant portion of sales attributed to Georgia.

The Georgian office, operational since December, offers an array of services and products, including trailers, both new and pre-owned, sourced from European factories and depots. Also Schmitz Cargobull Georgia LLC opened a spare parts warehouse with a diverse assortment, ensuring the availability of nearly all major spare parts. The company is expanding its service partner network to comprehensively cover the Caucasus region, delivering high-quality service to customers throughout the area.

Against the backdrop of geopolitical challenges, the role of Georgia and the Caucasus has gained prominence contributing to an increased demand for Schmitz Cargobull products in the region compared to the previous years.
