According to the representative of the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, Sopo Japaridze, the killing of Tamaz Ginturi, who was killed by the Russian military, was evaluated by the European Parliament as "a provocation directed against the Euro-Atlantic future of Georgia".
As she stated at the briefing held in Mikheil Saakashvili's public reception center, they will do everything to punish the killers of Tamaz Ginturi "with full severity".
"The resolution adopted by the European Parliament is very important for the Georgian state. With our efforts and those of our partners, we are doing what Georgian Dream should be doing. The European Parliament condemns the killing of Tamaz Ginturi and also reacts to the detention of civilians near the occupation line. Tamaz Ginturi's murder was considered another provocation directed against Georgia's Euro-Atlantic future. Today's resolution is another victory for Tamaz Ginturi and we will do everything to ensure that the killers of Tamaz Ginturi are punished with full severity. Unfortunately, today the Georgian people and the country's third president, together with his team, are doing what our government should do. The promise of the third president has been fulfilled", said Sopo Japaridze.
Givi Ginturi, the brother of Tamaz Ginturi, was also present at the briefing, who thanked Mikheil Saakashvili and European Parliamentarian Anna Fotyga.
