Orban, a friend of the Georgian Dream, may become a troublemaker in the consensus that is ripening in EU - they should explain how it turned out that their only ally in EU is the one who seems to be suspiciously close to Russia, Lelo MP Ana Natsvilishvili said.
According to Natsvlishvili, Orban's positions will also reflected in the decision to grant Georgia candidate status.
"I hope that the process will not be blocked and vetoed, because we all understand very well that if the issue of Ukraine is blocked, the issue of Georgia and Moldova will also be blocked. It is especially important, today, when there is a real chance of a serious consensus maturing in the EU, not to sabotage this consensus. The way Orban behaves in this whole process, it should be a good lesson for people who until now believed in the propaganda of the Georgian Dream that they had a well-chosen ally in the form of Orban in the EU. Orban is a serious problem for the capitals of many European Union countries, and only Georgian Dream, which is friendly with him, is out of line with the reality that would be beneficial for Georgia. Unfortunately, today we have a reality when the friend and ally of Georgian Dream, Orban, may become the troublemaker in the consensus that is ripening in the European Union at the cost of the work and struggle of many people, society. They should explain how it turned out that their only ally in EU is the one who seems to be suspiciously close to Russia and is an advocate of a very heavy blocking decision in the European Union," said Natsvlishvili.
For information, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban demands to remove the issues of Ukraine's accession to the EU and the allocation of 50 billion euros as aid to the country from the agenda of the planned EU summit, and calls on the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, not to convene the European Council to decide on these issues in December.
