SOCAR Midstream Operations LLC, representing South Caucasus Pipeline Company (SCPC) Partners, has renovated dedicated educational and entertainment spaces for children in the oncology department of M. Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital in Tbilisi.
The project is dedicated to nurturing the mental and emotional well-being of children battling cancer. A close partnership between SOCAR Midstream and hospital representatives has resulted in significant improvements in the designated areas within the onco-hematology department for children. These enhancements include the renewal of furniture and equipment, as well as the introduction of cognitive-development toys.
On December 15, 2023, an opening ceremony was held at M. Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital, attended by SOCAR Midstream and hospital representatives.
In line with its ongoing commitment to social initiatives and the goal of raising awareness about oncological diseases, SOCAR Midstream, in close collaboration with M. Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital, plans to translate foreign literature into Georgian for broader distribution among pediatric patients.

The South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) is one of the key sections of the Southern Gas Corridor, designed to export natural gas from Azerbaijan to Georgia, Türkiye, and Europe. The length of SCP is 692 km, with 248 km in Georgia.
SOCAR Midstream Operations LLC, a fully owned subsidiary of SOCAR, took on the role of the SCP commercial operator in 2015 and became the SCP technical operator in 2020.
