The rally: "Tsulukiani should not be the Minister of Culture" is underway at the Parliament

The rally in front of the parliament - "Tsulukiani should not be the minister of culture!" is underway.

The participants of the rally, the representatives of the field of culture gathered at the parliament in order to protest the nomination of Tea Tsulukiani as a candidate for the Minister of Culture once again.

According to one of the participants of the action, film director Keti Machavariani, the problem is that the field of culture is managed by incompetent personnel and that nothing happens in the field of cinema.

"Representatives of cinema and art gather at the parliament. We have been facing the problem for a long time. On behalf of the cinema sector, I will say that 450 people have been boycotting for 8 months. During the boycott, no one wanted to ask what the problem is. Actually the problem is that the field of culture is managed by incompetent cadres and nothing happens in the field of cinema.

Many problems have accumulated not only around cinema, but also in various fields of culture, and we have no answer to this. Today, the minister came to the parliament and answered the questions of the deputies, but she never heard the questions asked by the representatives of the field of culture.

Representatives of different fields of art should be in solidarity with each other and not accept the stagnation of this field. Culture is the face of our country and an inseparable part of our identity, therefore such violation of identity is not allowed", said film director Keti Machavarian to "Mtavari Arkhi".
