Ilia Darchiashvili: We are working as much as possible with our partners and EU member states in bilateral formats in order to further strengthen and deepen relations

Georgia has always used the Munich Security Forum to present our country even better and to use this opportunity to talk with our partners about the challenges that are in our region and beyond, - the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, said in the Federal Republic of Germany, while evaluating the meetings held within the Munich Conference.

According to the minister, within the framework of the Munich conference, a very interesting meeting was held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the OSCE chairman country, which was invited by the head of the Foreign Ministry to Georgia.

According to him, very interesting meetings were held with the US delegation. The conversation with the US Assistant Secretary of State touched on important aspects of bilateral relations.

According to him, very important bilateral meetings are being held with his counterparts.

"I had an introductory meeting with the newly appointed French colleague. For us, France is one of the outstanding countries that strongly supports Georgia on its way to European integration, and cooperation with it and even more dynamics in terms of bilateral relations between France and Georgia will be very important in the future, in order to open negotiations with the European Union," said Darchiashvili.

According to the Minister, he will also meet with the head of the Munich Security Forum, within the framework of which the ways of how Georgia can be represented even more in the formats of this most important platform will be discussed, which, according to Darchiashvili, will bring new opportunities.
