Ana Dolidze slams Government over Health Ministry controversy

Ana Dolidze, leader of the People's Party, criticizes the Georgian government's handling of internal conflicts, particularly focusing on the Ministry of Health, labeling it as a "fiasco" and emphasizing its detachment from the interests of the people.

Ana Dolidze condemned the internal conflicts plaguing the Georgian government, particularly targeting the Ministry of Health. Dolidze's remarks came in response to Zurab Azarashvili's resignation from his post as Minister of Health, where she dismissed the ongoing disputes as detached from the fundamental interests of the Georgian populace.

Expressing dismay over the political infighting within the government, Dolidze emphasized that such conflicts do little to address the pressing needs of the people, including access to quality healthcare, affordable prices, and other essential services like education and transportation. She dismissed Azarashvili's resignation as merely symptomatic of a broader power struggle among government officials.

She criticized the government's failure to deliver on its promises of providing accessible and high-quality healthcare, accusing it of being mired in corruption and mismanagement. Despite starting off on a promising note in 2013, Dolidze argued that the government's handling of healthcare issues has deteriorated over time, with systemic changes unlikely to materialize under the current leadership.

In her concluding remarks, Dolidze lamented the prospect of enduring further political discord and dysfunction within the government, expressing regret that such internal strife continues to overshadow the well-being of the Georgian people.
