As the minister noted, each consul and diplomatic representation of Georgia is ready to protect the interests of citizens.

"First of all, each of our diplomatic representations, each of our consuls working abroad is obliged, obliged and fulfills the function to protect the interests of each of our citizens. As for this specific issue, some TV channels say that Georgians are kidnapped. Except you, no one talks about the kidnapping of Georgians. Do not mislead our citizens, our viewers. Have the strength and ability to come out and say that when you spread false and baseless information, it was inaccurate information. No one is talking about this kidnapping, except you, and I urge you to refrain from spreading lies! Do not lie to the citizens of Georgia when you have no information. Don't talk, don't put people in a situation that could lead to some unclear processes. No one is kidnapped! If any person, be it Mexico or any other country, needs the help of each of our diplomats, we are ready for it and will continue to do so in the future. I urge you to come forward and say that this information was inaccurate and do not mislead our citizens! For information, according to reports in the media, about 30 Georgian citizens were kidnapped near the Mexican border.
