Mamuka Mdinaradze: We will initiate the bill against LGBT propaganda this week

According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, executive secretary of "Georgian Dream", leader of the parliamentary majority, the draft law against LGBT propaganda will be introduced in the parliament this week.

"As we already announced two weeks ago, and there was no response from our opponents, except for an indirect agreement to stand on the side of LGBT propaganda, we will initiate a draft law against LGBT propaganda this week," Mamuka Mdinaradze noted.

According to him, the opponents are still preparing to fight against the unregistered bill.

In addition, the executive secretary of "Georgian Dream" spoke about the trainings, which, according to his information, were organized by "Pride" and financed by the United Nations Development Fund. Mdinaradze called on the United Nations Development Fund and other donor organizations to clearly understand what they are actually financing.

"As you know, our opponents were interested in this and are still preparing to fight against the unregistered law. They were trained. The trainings were organized by Pride and funded by the United Nations Development Fund, which Pride officials said was a workshop to counter Russian disinformation, while the United Nations Development Fund said it funded trainings on minority rights.

In fact, the topic of conversation was a defense of pseudo-liberal propaganda, and journalists reported it from the start. We call on both the United Nations Development Fund and other donor organizations to understand what they are actually funding. This is in order not to confuse the rights of minorities with the harmful consequences of LGBT propaganda," said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
