Under our government, the participation of our compatriots abroad in the elections has increased by 100% and the registration rate has increased by 44%. These are specific numbers that will not hold water, but the arguments of the strategy are leaking air and will also be watered down to be checked - Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze said about this at the plenary session of the Parliament.

Talakvadze asked the opposition where they were when the public elected them to the opposition with high activity and why they did not enter the parliament for eight months.

"If you say that the activity was low in 2020, where was the high activity, where were you there?" - Was there a high turnout, did a part of the society elect you to the opposition, where were you, why did you not come to the parliament for eight months? And after that you assure us that the votes of our compatriots abroad will be important to you and you will respect them? When 100 thousand citizens within the country elected you in the opposition and you did not enter until the European Union and the European parliamentarians told you directly what we were telling you - undermine the elections and undermine democracy. I want to tell our citizens that the elections will definitely be held democratically, according to the European standard, in free conditions and Georgia will continue to develop and move towards Europe", said Archil Talakvadze.
