As she explains, the Ministry of Finance and tax authorities know where the funding comes from and what specific projects it is spent on.

"If you want, let's check the legal base, the legal base of Georgia is quite sophisticated and any financial, any technical assistance that goes to the non-governmental sector or any state institution is completely transparent, that is, non-governmental organizations in Georgia submit their financial declarations with a very high degree of transparency. The Ministry of Finance and any tax authorities know what the financial flow is, where this funding comes from, what specific projects it is spent on, this is a very normal, perfect legal framework that I like. That's why I don't think that this is a real danger, these are probably more demagogic, propagandistic statements, which aim to discredit the non-governmental sector," said Dekanoidze.
