Anri Okhanashvili: It is disturbing that there is a call to teach in kindergartens and schools what gender means, to teach that if a child is born as a boy or a girl, it does not necessarily mean that

If there is something disturbing, it is that in kindergartens and schools there is a call to teach minors what gender means, to teach that if a child was born as a boy or a girl, it does not necessarily mean that - serious money is spent on the promotion of this and grants are received, - said Anri Okhanashvili, the chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Parliament.

Okhanashvili also says that the constitutional rights of people with different lifestyles will be protected.

"It is disturbing that the ideology is introduced that we should tell children from kindergarten and school age that it means absolutely nothing if they were born as a boy or a girl and to think that they can be different and that this is normal.

When this is promoted, serious money is spent on it and grants are poured in, the encouragement of such propaganda is unacceptable to the majority of our society.

We prevent this. As for a different way of life, it is a choice of any person. It is not in our interest to judge someone's different life, much less to stigmatize someone's different life.

The rights of people with different lifestyles should be protected in the same way as any other person. Their constitutional rights will be protected. Discrimination is not allowed.

As for the promotion of a different way of life, this is unacceptable for us," said Mdinaradze.

The majority prepared the draft constitutional law "On Family Values and Protection of Minors". The project consists of eight points and provides for the establishment of a number of restrictions and prohibitions.

The draft constitutional law has not yet been registered in the parliament.
