President’s parliamentary secretary: It is impossible to improve the law "On transparency of foreign influence" – the report of the Venice Commission will be reflected in the veto

It is impossible to improve the law "On transparency of foreign influence" - what is specifically written in the veto, you will see in two weeks, - the parliamentary secretary of the president, Giorgi Mskhiladze, said while talking to journalists.

According to him, the veto of the president will be technically and legally correct.

As Mskhiladze notes, the report of the Venice Commission will be reflected in the veto.

"This law cannot be improved. It is simply impossible to change the mentioned law in any way. You will see what exactly is written in the veto in two weeks. This will be a technically and legally sound veto. We are not going to go into the article-by-article discussion of the mentioned law or any form of discussion of the law. It is unnecessary to talk about it. We admit that, in general, we reflect the conclusions of the Venice Commission in our vetoes," Mskhiladze said.

According to him, the current protests regarding the said bill must continue.

"This law caused so much controversy and so much polarization in the country that it became impossible for this law to enter into force in its current form. This law has no way to exist in its current form," Mskhiladze said.
