Irakli Kobakhidze: We expect that the war in Ukraine will end in a maximum of a year and the approaches to Georgia will change immediately, the relations will begin to be reviewed

We expect that the war in Ukraine will end in a maximum of a year and the approaches to Georgia will change immediately, this is our optimistic expectation - I am sure that in a maximum of a year, maybe even in 6 months, the relations will begin to be reviewed substantially and qualitatively, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said at the Georgian Dream office regarding the review of relations with the USA.

According to him, after the elections in the USA, the war in Ukraine will end in a maximum of a year, which will calm the situation in the region, and after the stabilization of the situation in the region, the attitude towards Georgia will change.

"We expect that the war in Ukraine will end in a maximum of a year, if the Republicans win, as already said, the war may end even in January. As soon as the war ends and the situation in the region calms down, attitudes towards Georgia will immediately change, this is our optimistic expectation.

First of all, the reset of relations does not a priori depend on the victory of the Republicans. If the Democrats win, the war will end in a year, if the Republicans - in half a year. In both cases, the war will end and the attitude towards Georgia will change. That is, a priori, our hopes and optimism are not based on the victory of the Republicans. In such a case, we will see a fair attitude and not the one we have seen in the past 3-4 years, which was very unfortunate for us. I am sure that in a maximum of a year, maybe even in 6 months, the review of relations will begin substantially and qualitatively", said Irakli Kobakhidze.
