When I spoke about the importance of reconciliation and mutual forgiveness in my speech in the city of Gori, the collective "national movement" called reconciliation treason, and friendship called enmity. With this, they once again showed the Georgian people that apart from war and destruction, apart from inciting ethnic strife, there is no other way and goal for them! - Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chairman of "Georgian Dream", said this in a speech at an event held within the framework of the "Georgian Dream" election campaign in Rustavi.

As Ivanishvili addressed the gathering, it has been more than two months since the ruling team decidedly says that the 2008 war was started by the "National Movement" on an external order, however, none of them tried to justify themselves.

In addition, according to Ivanishvili, in the conditions of obtaining the constitutional majority by "Georgian Dream", the opposition will be deprived of all resources to "create an artificial barrier to the consolidation of Georgia and keep the country in constant confrontation".

Welcome to a country with an ancient and unique history, distinguished by historical monuments, beautiful nature and most importantly, amazing people! Welcome to the side of the first Europeans, where the cradle of civilization was established almost 2 million years ago. I welcome the party that saw one of the most important monuments of Christian architecture - Zion of Bolnisi and ancient examples of Georgian writing. Welcome to the side where ancient traces of viticulture have been found, which proves that Georgia is the homeland of wine! I welcome the corner famous for hospitality and tolerance, where together with Georgians, Azerbaijanis, Armenians, Greeks, Germans and people of other nationalities first found refuge, and then a home and homeland.

As a politician, we met you for the first time in 2012, and during that dark period for our country, we promised you that by standing together, we would surely defeat the "National Movement" regime, the regime that had been hijacked by the state and kept the population in terror and fear.

After the historic victory on October 1, together we were able to put our country on the right track of development. As a result, together with you, we laid the foundation for building a country based on democracy, rule of law and respect for human dignity. We have strengthened the judiciary and the prosecutor's office, the media is independent, business is untouchable. Consequently, people breathe freely and no one has any fear of political persecution.

After coming to power, we organized and developed infrastructure in Kvemo Kartli. With state programs tailored to the interests of the population, we revived agriculture that had declined during the previous government, and opened the way for our peasants and farmers to the previously closed markets. We have taken important steps towards strengthening the energy independence of our country, in which direction many investments were made in Kvemo Kartli.

We have forever passed the time when the regime of the "National Movement" perceived the representatives of ethnic minorities as second-class citizens and they were mentioned only during the elections. Today, the starting point of the state is a person! Every citizen of Georgia, regardless of his ethnic or religious affiliation, is equal and fully enjoys all the privileges that the state offers to citizens.

In 2012, unemployment, poverty and extreme hardship reigned in Rustavi, which was once inhabited by working people. Then we promised the people of Rustavi that we would restore your dignity, we would exploit the industrial potential of this city as much as possible, and we would do everything to ensure that the factories and enterprises located in Rustavi were operated at full capacity. I am glad that we fulfilled this promise and a lot of things will be done in this direction in the future.

The people of Rustavi will also testify that the seizure of even a small amount of power by the collective "National Movement" means sabotage and inevitable harm to the people. Today, the city has a highly responsible, professional mayor, an amazing young woman, Nino Latsabidze, who takes care of the interest of Rustavi and the people of Rustavi 24 hours a day. As a counterweight to this, the members of the collective "National Movement" held a life-death struggle for positions in the Rustavi City Council. Moreover, they are constantly sabotaging the people of Rustavi and hindering the implementation of vital projects for the city. This example shows very well what disaster can happen in Georgia, if the impossible happens and the collective "National Movement" returns to power.

As in the past, even today, the radical opposition does not act in accordance with the interests of the country and the people, but in accordance with the tasks received from outside. This is the main reason why these people cannot be removed from power, that is why we say that on October 26 we are choosing not between good and better, but between war and peace, agents of external forces and the "Georgian Dream" that carries the interests of the Georgian people. We will not allow foreign powers to interfere in the internal affairs of our country, because on October 26, the population of Georgia will choose not a foreign agency, but a political force implementing national policy - "Georgian Dream"!

The collective "National Movement", which acts against Georgians, should not only be removed from the government, but the question of declaring them unconstitutional and judging them in the strictest way should be raised. These stateless people are responsible not only for the torture and murder of their own citizens, business racketeering, the corruption reigning in the country and the authoritarianism in which we have lived for years, but also, first of all, for the heaviest crime - a crime that Georgia will never forgive them. It is the "National Movement" that is responsible for the worst tragedy that happened in 2008. To fulfill the external task, they started a war that cost us more than 400 lives, displacement of 30 thousand people and lost territories!

By coming to the elections on October 26 and supporting "Georgian Dream", you get a guarantee that no one will be able to involve Georgia in the war, and the war criminals will be severely punished. Yes, "Georgian Dream" is the guarantor of this, because we are the only political force that brought 12 years of uninterrupted peace to the country in the most difficult political situation, in the background of ongoing military conflicts in the region, at the cost of incredible efforts! Even though there are still many risks and challenges in this regard, I promise you that I personally, together with the political team of "Georgian Dream", will not allow war and rain of bombs in Georgia at any cost!

Peace is also important from the point of view that, taking into account the global changes that are happening around us and in the world in general, we think that the time is approaching when we will remove the long-standing debris and see a peaceful Georgia. We must be ready for this at any moment. Accordingly, obtaining a constitutional majority in the October 26 parliamentary elections is of fundamental importance in this regard as well. No one should be able to resist the constitutional changes, the implementation of which will become necessary during the restoration of territorial integrity!

For more than two months now, we have been saying that the war of 2008 was started by the "nationals" on an external order, however, none of them has even tried to justify themselves. It is clear that the evidence of the start of the war by the "National Movement" is in the palm of their hand, it is clear that by voting on the famous resolution and then agreeing to Taliavini's conclusion, they have already recognized the start of hostilities, but probably no one expected such self-lustration. The issue of peaceful restoration of territorial integrity, reconciliation and mutual building is the key issue that drove the entire agency out of its foreign-funded lairs. Their reaction confirms once again that they were tasked with the only thing - to keep Georgia in a mode of constant conflict and confrontation. That is why the preparation for the territorial integrity of our country, first of all, goes through obtaining the constitutional majority. In the conditions of "Georgian Dream" obtaining a constitutional majority, the radical opposition will have all the resources to create an artificial barrier to the consolidation of Georgia and to keep the country in constant confrontation.

As for other issues, we need to obtain a constitutional majority to solve them. After the "Georgian Dream" gets the constitutional majority, we will once and for all end all violent attempts to subjugate our people to pseudo-liberal ideology, insult and degrade our values, culture and history! In addition, after obtaining the constitutional majority, we will take concrete steps to strengthen the constitutional status of the Orthodox Church as a pillar of the state's identity. But let no one think that this will cast even an iota of shadow on any religion operating in Georgia! Moreover, we will strengthen our efforts to take care of the coexistence of our peoples of different religions, but united by the love of the motherland. It is with our diversity and tolerance that we are the people and the country that we represent, by which the whole world knows us. This proud, unique, centuries-old tradition of tolerance will continue - in our homeland, representatives of different ethnic and religious groups continue to live together harmoniously and care for a better tomorrow for Georgia, for us and for our children!

On October 26, good will win over evil, independence of Georgia will win over agency, traditional values ​​will win over pseudo-liberal propaganda. On October 26, peace will win over war. May God protect us and our country!
