There have always been and are democratic, pro-European forces in Georgia, they have always represented the absolute majority of the country. They know where our future is, they know that we have no other alternative, - said the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, during her speech at the panel held within the "Warsaw Security Summit".

The moderator of the panel asked the President a question regarding the elections scheduled for October 26 in the country, namely whether she thinks that democratic values ​​will win in the country.

"The population of Georgia, despite Russia's efforts to change Georgia's European path, 80 percent of the population, for years, strongly supports the European path and the European future. The elections to be held on October 26 will be decisive. There are many forces working against the will of the people of Georgia, but I am sure that our future is in Europe, our future is also protected by Ukraine, because it is fighting for its own independence, for the freedom of Europe, it is also fighting for our freedom, and the future of Europe is determined by the outcome of the war in Ukraine, Moldova with the results of the elections and the results of the elections in Georgia. This determines, for example, the security of the Black Sea and the future of the Black Sea as a sea of ​​cooperation, as a sea of ​​peace and connectivity. This determines the role of Europe in the Caucasus. This will determine the future of Armenia, which is on the path of rapprochement with the European Union. So, everything that is at stake these days is very important," the President of Georgia said.
