President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili will continue consultations with the opposition parties regarding the composition of the so-called "technical government" and the candidate for the position of prime minister.
Today, October 8, a meeting with the representatives of the "Unity - National Movement" will take place in the Orbelian Palace. According to the information of the party's press service, party chair Tina Bokuchava along with other leaders will arrive at the audience with President Zurabishvili at 15:00.
As it is known, the process of consultations between the president and the representatives of the opposition parties regarding the composition of the so-called technical government and the candidate for the position of prime minister began on October 7. Leaders of the "Coalition for Change" have already met with the President, who expressed "full support for the process".
For information, the opposition forces signed the "Georgian Charter" drawn up at the initiative of the President, by which the signatories of the Charter, along with a number of obligations, undertake to fulfill the "conditions written in the Charter before the end of the first spring session, and upon fulfillment, early parliamentary elections will be held in free and fair conditions. The condition that the so-called technical government, which will be presented by the President of Georgia, will be responsible for the implementation of this action plan.
According to Salome Zurabishvili, she has already selected a candidate for the position of Prime Minister who "has high public confidence.
