Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the head of the election staff of "Georgian Dream", addressed the population gathered at the regional event of the election campaign in Batumi and spoke about the main results of the 12-year rule of "Georgian Dream".

Irakli Kobakhidze spoke about the situation in various fields in 2012 and the current improved data and noted that despite the "hardest legacy", "Georgian Dream" was able to quickly turn in the right direction of the country's development.

"In 2012, the economy of Georgia was only 28 billion GEL and the budget of the country was 8.5 billion GEL. Unemployment was 28 percent, and the average salary was 712.5 GEL. 1,120,000 of our fellow citizens lived below the poverty line. There was no universal health care program. The infrastructure of the country was disrupted, etc. Despite the difficult legacy, the "Georgian Dream" government was able to turn the country's development in the right direction very quickly: we increased the country's economy from 28 billion GEL to 90 billion GEL, and by 2028, according to our program, it will grow to 130 billion GEL; We have increased the country's budget from 8.5 billion GEL to 28 billion GEL, which will exceed 40 billion GEL in 2028; We cut unemployment in half. Only in the last 2.5 years, 170,000 jobs were created in the country, and by 2028, an additional 200,000 new jobs will be created; The salary, as I already said, was 712.5 GEL in 2012, and the average salary has already exceeded 2,000 GEL in the country, which will reach 3,500 GEL in 2028; Since 2012, 680,000 of our fellow citizens have overcome poverty, and by 2028, an additional 300,000 people will overcome poverty. Poverty will drop below 4%; In the past 2.5 years alone, we have attracted foreign investments of 5 billion dollars, and in the next 4 years, we will attract additional foreign investments of 9 billion dollars; You remember the previous government prided itself on infrastructure construction and I want to tell you that only 68 kilometers of highways were built before 2012, and after 2012, 300 kilometers of highways were built in the country. The construction of the Tbilisi-Batumi highway will be completed next year, after which the travel time from Batumi to Tbilisi will be reduced to 3 hours. Also, the construction of the Khulo-Zarzma road will be completed next year; With the support of the state, 700 new enterprises were created and 800 enterprises were expanded. Within the framework of business support programs, over the next 4 years, business support will continue, we will create hundreds of new enterprises and 70,000 jobs; With the support of the state, after 2012, the production of agricultural products increased twice. During the next 4 years, a total of 3 billion will be allocated from the state budget for the development of agriculture and the strengthening of the Georgian countryside; Tourism is developing at a fast pace, which is especially important for Adjara. According to our plan, by 2028, the number of visitors will exceed 11 million, and revenues from tourism will exceed 6.4 billion dollars; In 2030, the production of electricity in Georgia will exceed 3 times the rate of 2012, and Georgia will become, from the point of view of electricity, a completely self-sufficient and independent country; More than 2 billion GEL will be allocated for the regional development fund, 400 million for the rural support program, 155 million for the mountain fund, and 200 million for the municipal transport program; After 2012, we increased the budgets of the municipalities 3 times, the growth of which will continue in the following years; After 2012, the rate of gasification increased 3 times, and next year 93% of the population will be provided with natural gas. State investments in water supply increased 15 times. Next year, all cities of the country will have access to 24-hour water supply; Before 2012, only 12 Justice Houses were functioning across the country, and after 2012, 109 Justice Houses were built, and by the end of next year, additional 12 Justice Houses will be opened, thus covering the entire country; After 2012, we increased education funding 4 times. We made kindergartens completely free and introduced a free textbook program. Across the country, we completed the construction and rehabilitation of 836 kindergartens and started the program of construction and rehabilitation of 885 kindergartens. We have built 174 schools and completed the rehabilitation of more than 1,000 schools, and in the next 4 years, the construction and rehabilitation of more than 500 schools will be completed; Sports funding has increased 4 times and as you know, the results are visible. We remind you that the previous government left this city with football traditions without a stadium at all, they demolished the stadium that the city had, while the "Georgian Dream" government did not build a new, beautiful stadium for Batumi; Our government has introduced a universal health care program and other targeted programs. The country's social budget and healthcare financing have increased 4 times. As a result, financial access to health care has improved 5 times, the average life expectancy has increased from 72 to 75 years, and the number of people reaching retirement age has increased by 155,000. The package of social protection of the population was expanded 5 times. We increased pensions 3 times. From January 1, the pension for pensioners under the age of 70 will be 350 GEL, and for pensioners over 70 - 450 GEL. Accordingly, pensions for pensioners living in highland settlements will increase to 420 and 540 GEL. 35,000 IDP families received decent housing, and after the completion of current projects, additional 6,000 IDP families will receive housing. This is only an incomplete list of our achievements and 4-year plans", Irakli Kobakhidze noted.
