Irakli Kobakhidze: the state stands at the height of the call and we will not give anyone the opportunity to bring chaos to the country - the ruling team will do everything to ensure that the election process continues in a peaceful environment

In the radical opposition, they know very well the real party ratings. Everyone knows that the rating of "Georgian Dream" is about 60 percent and the collective "National Movement" is doomed to another, heaviest, ninth electoral defeat. Against this background, their party offices do not stop talking about the arrangement of provocations, which, according to their calculations, should make corrections in the course of the elections, - said the head of the election staff, Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, at a briefing held in the office of "Georgian Dream".

Irakli Kobakhidze calls on the law-enforcement agencies to be careful and to work with special attention to prevent provocations.

According to him, the governing team will do everything to ensure that the election process continues in a peaceful environment and that voters can make their choice on October 26 in a peaceful environment.

"In the light of the suspicious attempt of the accused Darcho Khechuashvili to enter Georgia illegally and the conversations going on in the party offices of the radical opposition, I call on all law enforcement agencies to be especially careful during the next 2 weeks and to work with special attention to prevent provocations. You can all see that the election campaign will take place in an unprecedentedly calm environment, which further reduces the chances of success of the collective "National Movement" focused on radicalization. The electoral environment is free and competitive, which was confirmed by the report published yesterday by OSCE-ODIR. Against this background, it is not surprising that the thinking of the radical opposition is now completely directed towards provocations.

The state stands at the height of the call and we will not give anyone the opportunity to bring disorder in the country. The management team will do everything to ensure that the election process continues in a peaceful environment and that voters can make their choice on October 26 in a peaceful environment. We call on the radical opposition to refrain from planning provocations. Any provocation will be met with the harshest response from the state," said Irakli Kobakhidze.
