According to Ana Natsvlishvili, one of the leaders of "Strong Georgia", the OSCE pre-election report reflects the systemically and fundamentally unfair and unequal election environment created by "Georgian Dream".
According to her explanation, it is a captured state, when state institutions are staffed based on who the ruling party trusts, and not according to whom the people trust."These state institutions are used by the ruling party to repress and obstruct the opposition parties. Also, the media environment is not free and equal. Of course, all this creates a fundamentally unfair and unequal environment, which is far from the democratic standard. In such a situation, the reality described in the report is another indicator and proof of why the vote of each citizen is extremely important in the October 26 elections, because it is the great activism, mobilization and principles of citizens that can stand up to any interference, manipulation and attempt to hijack the elections by the government.
There is no more reliable guarantee of the protection of elections than the active participation of all citizens in the electoral process. We, "Strong Georgia", the parties united around number 9, of course, are also actively preparing to protect each vote.
This is exactly the mood that we see in the cities and villages of Georgia. "Citizens understand exactly why their involvement is crucial for the fate of the elections and the fate of the country, and why these elections are really a referendum between Georgia's past, Russia and Georgia's future, Europe," Natsvlishvili says.
For information, the Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE (OSCE/ODIHR) has published an interim report regarding the pre-election environment for the parliamentary elections in Georgia. In addition, the report reviews the work of the election administration and election technologies. The report states that the pre-election period is taking place in a rather peaceful environment. As for the election campaign and politicians' messages, according to the report, the election campaign messages that have come under scrutiny up to this point are mostly saturated with extremely polarized rhetoric.
