Veteran is one of the most honorable statuses in any society for which freedom is the most important value. The strength of the state is determined by its attitude towards the defenders of the motherland, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said this during his speech at the event dedicated to the Veteran's Day.

According to the Prime Minister, during the previous government there were no solid social guarantees for veterans, and after coming to power "the management team started active work in this direction".

"I would like to congratulate our dear veterans, worthy fighters of the defense forces, police, special services, and people devoted to the motherland on Veterans Day.

The fact that this year we celebrate this day for the tenth time is proof of that.

Under the previous government, there were no solid social guarantees, not even a minimum package of universal insurance for veterans. As soon as we came to power, we started active work in this direction; We laid the foundation for the creation of the Department of Veterans Affairs and made care for veterans a priority. During these years, we have taken many steps to properly appreciate your merits", said the Prime Minister.
