The Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, met the Vice President of the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES) program Katerina Elena, the Director of the (IFES) Georgian Representation Renata Levovski and her deputy Davit Ghongadze. At the meeting, the activities implemented and ongoing by the election administration for the purpose of organizing the elections were discussed.

Giorgi Kalandarishvili noted that the election administration is doing everything to ensure that the October 26 elections are held at a high professional level in accordance with international standards.

"He provided IFES representatives with information on the number of registered election entities, monitoring organizations and media outlets. He also spoke about the introduction of election electronic technologies and the large-scale campaign to inform voters in this direction, as well as the challenges facing the agency in terms of spreading disinformation.

At the meeting, the projects implemented in various directions with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and their importance in the process of preparation for these elections were emphasized. The Chairman of the CEC expressed hope that the long-term close cooperation will continue and will bring even more benefits to both the institution and the election process in general.

The Chairman of the CEC also visited the operational and storage space of the CEC to the representatives of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES). Giorgi Kalandarishvili introduced them to the ongoing work in the operational-warehouse space at this stage and noted that the arrangement of the space was planned and implemented taking into account the international practice of technological intervention in the field of elections, in order to organize the modernized elections of 2024 at a high level," the information says.
