President Zurabishvili calls for unity and participation in the European march

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili urged citizens to participate in the European march, stressing the importance of rejecting polarization and mutual hatred. She called on the public to calmly express their will for Georgia's freedom, independence, and European future.

In a briefing, President Zurabishvili encouraged the Georgian people to take part in the upcoming European march and elections. She reassured the public that their voices matter and warned against giving in to fear, pressure, or rumors of electoral fraud. The President emphasized that the nation’s future depends on this moment and urged citizens to unite for peace, development, and the European path, which she described as the only way forward.

"This is a very big day because our stability depends on it. The most important thing is for the people to come out calmly and show their will for the country to return to freedom, independence, and a European future."

Zurabishvili addressed the public’s concerns about potential electoral fraud, calling on them to reject fear and participate in peaceful elections. She stated that the upcoming march and election are crucial steps toward ending one-party rule and polarization in Georgia. The President also underscored the need for unity in pursuing the path of peace, education, and development, stressing that this journey should unite the nation rather than divide it.

"We will refuse and say goodbye to one-partyism, we will say goodbye to polarization, mutual hatred, because the path we are standing on now... is the path of peace, education, and development. I will be with you tomorrow and I will be with you there as well, and this charter... will lead us to the goal called European free democratic Georgia", the President said.
