Shalva Papuashvili: For some time now, the European Court of Human Rights has exposed the disinformation campaign of the opposition, NGOs, foreign politicians and diplomats, this time it concerns the inventors and users of the term - "Russian law"

For many years, the European Court of Human Rights was the institution that exposed the disinformation campaign of the opposition, NGOs, foreign politicians and diplomats. This time, this exposure refers to the inventors and users of the term - "Russian law", - Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, writes about this on the social network.

According to him, today, "in the decision taken against Russia, the court indicated what were the restrictions in the law in force in Russia, due to which it found a violation of the European Convention on Human Rights:

1. Branding all publications as produced by a "foreign agent",

2. Exclusion from all election processes,

3. Prohibition of implementation of professional training programs,

4. Prohibition of implementing programs with young people,

5. Prohibition of receiving advertising revenue from private companies,

6. Disproportionate sanctions (discretionary fines, cancellation of the organization).

None of these issues, none of these limitations are in the Georgian Transparency Law.

All this was discussed by the representatives of the Parliament during the discussions in the Constitutional Court.

As for the claimant politicians and NGOs, during the entire process they could not name any argument as to what the Georgian law had in common with the law in force in Russia.

That is why it was the scandal of the century when the Georgian law, which had nothing to do with the law in force in Russia, was called "Russian law".

Of course, as before - Rustavi 2, Melia, Gvaramia, Saakashvili, etc. On matters - probably, even now, no one will apologize for spreading false narratives against Georgia. But the Georgian people will make their own conclusions and these conclusions will be heard most clearly and loudly on October 26", Papuashvili writes on the social network and publishes the corresponding document.
