Mamuka Mdinaradze, executive secretary of "Georgian Dream," responded to criticism from national TV stations over the transportation of supporters from the regions to Tbilisi for a rally, assuring that a significant number of them would be provided transportation.
Mdinaradze, in a social media post, dismissed the concerns raised by government opponents regarding the organization of transport for regional attendees, emphasizing that while not everyone who wants to attend can, a substantial number of them will be accommodated. He suggested that the opposition may need to be "reassured" once Tbilisi voices its support.
"Yes, those who want to go, not all of them will be able to, but we will provide transportation for a significant part of them, so don't worry," Mdinaradze wrote.
He further mocked the opposition, claiming that even their primary party—referring to the "five-numbered" party—would not receive as many votes as the number of people present at the rally.
"Even their five-numbered main party will not get as many votes as there will be at the rally today!" Mdinaradze added.
His comments came in response to what he described as "hysteria" from national television channels regarding the mobilization of people from rural areas to attend the event in Tbilisi.
