I am happy with our unity, many people have gathered here today for one reason - to make the whole world understand that the people of Georgia will never give up their homeland, faith and freedom! - this is how the General Secretary of "Georgian Dream" Kakha Kaladze addressed the supporters gathered at the pre-election meeting held in Tbilisi.

Kakha Kaladze recalled the pre-election environment of 2012 and expressed hope that, as then, Georgia will successfully overcome all challenges.

"Friends, this city never lost its loyalty to the motherland, it always stood where the fate of the country and the mother church was decided. Homeland and faith are inseparable for a Georgian man. You are Georgia and you are the people who, in this difficult time, must once again lead the homeland to peace!

I look at you and I remember the time when, full of hope, we gathered in this very place 12 years ago and told each other that we would definitely put an end to the bloody regime, injustice and evil that reigned in our country at that time. Under the leadership of Bidzina Ivanishvili, we were able to do this, and most importantly, we were able to do it bloodlessly and peacefully. Since then, many things have changed for the better in the country, the media has been freed, business has been freed, no one is torturing and abusing our citizens in the name of the state. As a result, today we have peace, freedom, one of the fastest growing economies in the world, and a state that does not oppress and abuse its citizens, but cares for and supports them!

Together, we have come a long way in these 12 years, we have implemented many reforms, and today we have a real democratic country that deserves the European future by all objective parameters.

Anyone who wants to see it is of course free to do so. We want Europe, we want a European future, but not in the way we are told from outside. We will not be someone's vassal, we cannot be executors of orders against the country from outside, we will not give up the interests of Georgia, we will not give up the sovereignty of the country, we will not give up the independence and freedom of the country, which we won with the blood, which was won by me, yours, our ancestors, although we are ready to be dignified partners and friends", said Kakha Kaladze.
