This is a typical psychological pressure before the elections, which I think we are quite used to in the country, - said the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, at the press conference held in the Orbeliani Palace, in response to a journalist's question, which was about the investigation and search of three alleged so-called call centers by the investigative service.
According to Salome Zurabishvili, the aim of such psychological manipulations is to make people afraid and not go to the elections.
"We know it happens, we know we have to endure it, we shouldn't be afraid of it. This is only for people to be afraid, for someone not to go to the elections, for someone to be afraid of putting his vote in the bin in the form he thinks. All these are just psychological manipulations, which I think on the population of Georgia, which is very experienced in all this, does not work, does not work anymore and will not work again.
Transition to a new stage, to a coalition government, to a pro-European government, and in the future is ours. The new political reality should be that there should be no more election intimidation, pressure and bringing people to rallies in this form, by force, begging, money or whatever, this should be a thing of the past and I am sure that it will be handed over", said Salome Zurabishvili.
