CEC Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili appeals to the District Election Commission of Marneuli to find out what happened in the 69th Precinct of Marneuli and make an appropriate decision.

In particular, it concerns a video circulating on social networks, where a person can be seen throwing several ballots into the ballot box. Kalandarishvili calls this disturbing.

At the same time, he calls on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to carry out the proceedings on the case as quickly as possible.

"This is troubling information, and the election administration, if confirmed, will not allow such isolated, controlled or manipulative incidents to undermine the many months of effort we have put into Election Day. I would like to urgently call on the Marneuli District Election Commission to clarify the situation. to convene a commission session and make an appropriate decision.

As far as I know, the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case on the mentioned issue. I would like to ask the Ministry to carry out the production as quickly as possible in order to provide the public with objective, accurate information within the scope of our competence.

All such cases, whether true or not, damage the electoral environment, the integrity of the polling day, damage the institution's reputation and raise questions about the results. Therefore, I once again appeal to the District Election Commission to urgently clarify the issue and make an appropriate decision regarding the said precinct", said Giorgi Kalandarishvili.
