Shalva Papuashvili: We demand that ISFED make public the results of the parallel counting - ISFED is involved in exactly the same scandal as the 2020 fraud scandal

We demand that ISFED make public the results of the parallel counting and do not hide from the public the revelations that will be in this report against the opposition and some NGOs, said the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili at a briefing held at the party office.

According to him, it is the responsibility of NDI and USAID, unlike in 2020, now to force ISFED to publish the full parallel count report.

"Yesterday you saw that they missed the time, the scenario of 2020 was repeated, then they delayed the publication of the results of parallel counting, according to their methodology it is usually published before the OSCE report, by 12 o'clock, and even then they missed it, because they falsified the results of parallel counting and could not decide what numbers To put it exactly and this year the exact same thing happened again - ISFED got involved in the exact same scandal as the 2020 cheating scandal - they didn't publish the results. After asking various entities what is going on with the parallel counting, they finally issued a statement late last night and of course they couldn't escape it, so in that statement they said that their counting results matched those of the CEC, but the rest of the details that It is related to these issues, they hid it and do not want to inform the public. Therefore, we request that ISFED make public the results of the fully parallel count. To recall, yesterday when the NDI monitoring mission was briefing, its leader even indicated that they were waiting for the parallel count report from ISFED, so now it is NDI's responsibility, as it is their methodology, to call and force ISFED to publish the parallel count. A full report of the count, which will contain exactly all the frauds that the opposition, Ms. Salome or some foreign actors are now accusing Georgia of. Therefore, if NDI shied away from its responsibility last time when fake numbers were being distributed, this time they should correct the mistake they made then. Also, we remind you that ISFED conducts this parallel counting, as in 2020, with the funding of USAID. You will remember that in 2020, then it was revealed that USAID knew that ISFED was releasing fake parallel count results and was hiding it, so this year the leadership has changed and the then leadership was hiding it. Now the question of the integrity of the new leadership is under question, they should call on ISFED to publish the full report of the parallel counting and not hide from the public the revelations that will be in this report against the opposition and some NGOs," Papuashvili said.
