Mikheil Saakashvili: time is being wasted inside the country and interest outside the country will gradually fade, nothing is happening except for endless meetings - hopefully, the widespread popular protest movement will be renewed quickly

Time is being lost inside the country, and interest outside the country is gradually fading - nothing is happening except for endless meetings - hopefully, the widespread popular protest movement will be renewed quickly, - Mikheil Saakashvili, the third president of Georgia, writes about this on the social network.

As Saakashvili states, "foreign countries will not be able to do anything against the dictatorship established in the country if it is not accompanied by mass and continuous protests".

"I am asking a question that probably arises to many people. After the adoption of the Russian law, the protest stopped because we were waiting for the elections. Now the elections were stolen and the first and only rally was broken up in two hours. Then nothing happens except endless meetings.

Meetings are necessary and it is important to open the scheme of stealing elections, but a dictatorship has been established in Georgia, and neither foreign countries nor detailed documents written by us can do anything against it, if everything was not accompanied by mass and continuous protests.

Time is wasted within the country and interest outside the country is also gradually fading. The initiative will pass into the hands of the regime if we do not take it into our hands.

Until now, we used to say that we are not Belarusians and Venezuelans, and we would be more active. In fact, we must admit that the same Belarusians have fought much more actively than us.

I say this with concern and heartache, and I hope that the widespread popular protest movement will soon resume.

For my part, I am only glad that the parties and the civil movement are working together. I call on the "National Movement" and all my supporters to leave behind all our pre-election differences, because now we have to save our country!"- writes Saakashvili.
