Shalva Papuashvili: One judge considered that confidentiality was violated - this is counterbalanced by 22 judges and decisions that see the matter differently

One judge considered that the confidentiality was violated - that yesterday one judge explained this issue in this way, but there are 22 judges and a decision that sees this issue in a different way - this is how the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, responded to the fact that the Tetritskaro Court Confidentiality violation confirmed.

As Papuashvili said, all twenty-three will go to the appeal court and the court will make a final decision.

"You know that Saya was the complainant in this matter. It should be emphasized that no complaint was filed on this issue on the election day. We didn't hear any announcement, only they remembered on the fifth day. If all the excuses were answered from their side, what they came up with was this issue. No specific violation was recorded. Among them, not even at the trial. As long as I was tracking a specific citizen or voter whose complaint would be behind it, there was no such thing. In general, they appealed everywhere, to be cut. Of the twenty-three courts or judges who heard the appeal in different districts, twenty-two held that confidentiality was not violated, and one judge held that confidentiality was violated. All twenty-three will go to the Court of Appeals, where the court will make the final decision. The fact that yesterday one judge interpreted the matter in this way is counterbalanced by 22 judges and decisions that see the matter differently. There is also common sense behind this. If we follow this logic, that something like this is considered a breach of secrecy, then the presidential elections of Moldova, the parliamentary elections of Lithuania, Poland and other countries should be annulled. If we develop such a logic, we can see that no envelope is used either, they usually take out a ballot and throw it in a lined, transparent or semi-transparent box," Papuashvili said.

In addition, Papuashvili called on the opposition to form a judicial system whether they like it or not.

"I call on the opposition for one thing, to form on the court, either they like it or they don't like this court. It is either fair or unfair. When the decision is useful for them, then they bring out a person directly as a hero, when they don't like it, they bring out the political decision-makers", - noted Papuashvili.

For information, the Tetritskaro court confirmed the violation of vote secrecy and Judge Vladimer Khuchua satisfied GYLA's lawsuit. As Khuchua explained, the court unequivocally and unequivocally believes that the voter did not have the right to vote. According to him, once and for all, it should be possible to manage the election environment and administration in such a way that any manipulation and illegal interference is excluded and not dependent on someone's good will.
