Prime Minister: Olaf Scholz has his own problems, his coalition is broken and I don't know how he has time for speaking about Georgia - European leaders cannot tell us that a woman is not a woman and a man is not a man

Olaf Scholz has his own problems, his coalition is broken and I don't know how he can have time for speaking about Georgia - I think the German chancellor should be more concerned about his own problems and not making statements about Georgian issues, - said the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, thus evaluating the joint statement of French President , the Chancellor of Germany and the Prime Minister of Poland, where the European leaders express concern about the current political situation in Georgia and call on the authorities to change the course and carry out reforms.

Speaking about the law on family values and protection of minors, he noted that this law is healthy and actually serves to ensure that LGBT propaganda should not be produced in Georgia.

According to him, "European leaders cannot tell us that a woman is not a woman and a man is not a man."

"First of all, it should be said that Olaf Scholz has his own problems, and I don't know how he could have time for speaking about Georgia. His coalition was dissolved, extraordinary elections were scheduled in the near future. I think the German chancellor should be more concerned about his own problems and not make statements about Georgian issues - that's one thing. Regarding the two laws - the first one, I will start from the second topic, this is the law on family value and protection of minors. This law is the simplest and actually the only thing that serves to prevent LGBT propaganda in Georgia. A woman should be called a woman, a man should be called a man. There is not a single EU member state, for example, where a woman can go to the public registry or the civil registry and can be transcribed as a man, or a man can go to the registry and can be transcribed as a woman. This is categorically unacceptable for us. This is one point that this law deals with. If someone proves that this is a healthy issue, that if you are a woman you can come and register as a man, or if you are a man you can register as a woman, then sir, let's cancel this law. If they prove to us that this is a healthy phenomenon, I can imagine myself tomorrow, for example, as some animal, and why should I not record it as such?! Or why shouldn't my registration as a person be cancelled?! We are talking about this level of absurdity. It is also said that LGBT propaganda cannot be produced among children, it cannot happen in kindergartens and schools, television, mass media cannot be used for LGBT propaganda. In our opinion, it's a healthy law if someone proves to us that something to the contrary is healthy, yes, let's argue about that, but in general, when the public looks at it, I don't think it's a good impression. "European leaders cannot tell us that a woman is not a woman and a man is not a man," said Kobakhidze.
