The Parliament of Georgia will meet exactly on the 10th day after the publication of the official results of the elections, that is, on November 25, - the Prime Minister told journalists in response to the question about the legitimacy of the Parliament.
As the head of the government noted, in no country does the parliament need to legitimize the opposition, and if it were otherwise, no democratic system could be established.
"As for the first meeting of the Parliament, as you know, the deadlines are set by the Constitution of Georgia. We assume that the still formal President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, will once again violate the Constitution of Georgia by not appointing the first session of the Parliament. In this case, the Parliament of Georgia will meet exactly on the 10th day after the publication of the official election results, that is, on November 25. This is what the Constitution establishes," said the Prime Minister.
