Prime Minister: Today, four parties appealed to the European Union, among them they demanded the suspension of the European integration process - this is the message of Sergo Orjonikidze at the turn of the century, but not to Moscow, but in this case to Brussels

Today, four parties, actually one political force, addressed the European Union with specific demands - this is Sergo Orjonikidze's message at the turn of the century, but not to Moscow, in this case to Brussels, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze announced this at the government meeting.

According to him, the opposition demanded from the European Union to stop the process of European integration of Georgia, stop the financial assistance and stop communication with the Georgian authorities.

"Today, these four parties, in fact one political force, addressed the European Union with specific demands, and I would like to list these main demands - they demanded the suspension of the European integration process, they demanded the termination of communication between the European Union and state institutions, between the authorities, they demanded the suspension of 120 million financing and Also, they requested that this amount be directed to the strengthening of the agency in our country. These are the main demands that the radical opposition addressed to Brussels. You remember the famous message sent by Sergo Orjonikidze to Moscow a century ago - this is Sergo Orjonikidze's message at the turn of the century, but not to Moscow, but in this case to Brussels. They show their face every day, which is very good, the public sees it, and I think that even the 785 thousand people who supported these radical forces will reevaluate their choices and ultimately, they will return to the position related to the development of the country in the right direction.

I would like to give special thanks to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service, and other law enforcement agencies for properly managing these processes to date, and of course, they will continue to manage the processes in the following days. Of course, the public is disturbed by the activities carried out by the radical opposition, but of course it is important to manage everything carefully. In the future, everything will be done to ensure the safety of our citizens, to ensure stability in our country and to ensure the peaceful development of our country," said Kobakhidze.
