Nika Melia: We have been talking about the letter for at least 6 days, and why were Kaladze, Ivanishvili, Kobakhidze, "Georgian Dream" surprised?! - The letter says what we talk about 30 times a day

We have been talking about the letter for at least 6 days, and why were Kaladze, Ivanishvili, Kobakhidze, "Georgian Dream" surprised?! - For me, it is more surprising why "Georgian Dream" is trying to create an agenda with this notorious issue, - one of the leaders of "Coalition for Change", Nika Melia, commented on the letter written by the opposition to the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU member states.

According to him, the letter contains what the opposition talks about many times during the day.

"It's funny when you talk as if it was a secret letter, but in fact, for 6 days, the opposition has been talking about this letter, within the framework of which they are demanding pressure on the Ivanishvili regime, an investigation [regarding the elections] and strengthening of support for the Georgian people. Specifically, we are talking about the letter for at least 6 days, and why were Kaladze, Ivanishvili, Kobakhidze, "Georgian Dream" surprised?! The letter contains what we talk about 30 times a day in public space with the media, including you. Nothing different is written. There was nothing surprising here, and for me it is more surprising why Georgian Dream is trying to create an agenda with this notorious issue, especially when the opposition has been talking about the letter for 5-6 days," said Melia.

For information, the opposition parties that were defeated in the October 26 elections are sending a joint letter to European Commissioner Josep Borrell and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union.

"Coalition for Change", "Unity National Movement", "Strong Georgia" and "Gakharia for Georgia" address the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Josep Borrell, and the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU countries with several requests. In particular, suspend all official EU-level communications with the current government, including the cancellation of EU-Georgia Association Council meetings, suspension of high-level political dialogue, freezing of technical cooperation mechanisms, until Georgian Dream agrees to an international-led investigation of the process, as well as financial aid (approximately 120 million euros per year) to be suspended until the results of the investigation are known.
